That Rare Occasion That I Wear Makeup
Being a stay at home mom has its perks. I don’t have to look
presentable on any day of the week.
I don’t have to put on a bra or make sure my curls are intact.
I don’t even have to get out of my pajamas.
But on days that I do all of those things, I feel a whole lot
better about life itself. It’s funny how the right push up bra can make you
feel like Super Mom.
There are those rare occasions that I wake up a few minutes
early just so I can have time to find matching separates. This ALWAYS ends up
being black leggings and a Black or blue tee. Always. Then coconut oil on the elbows and whatever
Rhiana fragrance I feel like that day
(I have them all).
I even get out the makeup bag! Girl, that bag is like a new
world. I skip foundation. I have this theory that if I use it I’ll look old
before I need to.
I go right to the brows and mascara. Then a little golden
glow on the high points of my face with some bronzer or highlighter (I’m not
sure what to call it). I look like
myself. I don’t look like morning came too soon. I don’t feel rushed. I feel put together.
Although I’ll be
putting on gloves to clean a toilet soon, I will look good doing it! And even
though the mail man, and the woman across the street are the only people that
see me before it all fades away, I still have that “I can conquer anything”
attitude from that morning.
These rare moments make my days of being a stay at mom more
adventurous. Not that I need more, because let’s face it, two days are never
alike in my world.
