Original Poem
Heaven
by: DeNetra S. Bates
Last night I went to heaven, on the wings of an angel.
Compared to him I was like a charm that would dangle.
His smile was so big, and his laughter was great.
I wondered if this angel would take me on a date.
When we reached heaven I lost my breath.
My heart beat was I all felt.
It was the most beautiful place of all.
From which I would never want to fall.
He gave me the key to the gate
and told me that if I ever needed it, it would be fate.
When it was time to take me home I didn't know what to do,
Until i looked upon the face of this angel and saw that it was you.
Last night we went to heaven...
